At a speaking engagement in Monterey late week, someone asked me
who was the best manager I had ever worked for and why. I don't recall having
ever been asked that question and it took an uncomfortably long time for me to
conjure a response. Like many I think I was mismanaged more often than not, but
many of those pronouncements are unreliable because of the extreme immaturity
involved. After more than a few awkward moments a name floated to the surface.
I snagged it out of the murky pond and blurted out the name, John Ramirez.

I've recently
learned that beginning a blog by venting, "I'm mad as hell and I'm not going to take it anymore!" may
well provoke the response, "Who cares and shut your cake hole!"
I'm mad as hell
and I'm not going to take it anymore! In the current issue of Nightclub
& Bar Magazine is an article
by Stephen Cunningham entitled, "Being Your Beverage Best." In the middle of
the first page in large font is a prominently featured drink recipe for "The
Best Cosmopolitan Ever." Yup, finally someone has devised the best version of
the cocktail. Unfortunately for mankind, the drink bares only faint resemblance
to the most popular drink of the last decade.
Curious
what this mixology guru rates as the best Cosmopolitan ever?
