Nyak®
Very Special Cognac
Today, cognac is as equally popular with
Baby Boomers and the after dinner set as it is with the hip-hop
generation. Kudos to the good people at A. de Fussigny, one of the
renowned makers of cognac. As remarkable as their cognacs are, what
is equally impressive is their apparent willingness to step out
from under the cloak of nobility and embrace cognacs raging
popularity. Their first foray into the mainstream is NYAK
VERY SPECIAL COGNAC.
Celler master Alain Royer, owner of the
A. de Fussigny brand, and his family have been making fine cognac
since the early 1700s. As a smaller producer, Royer has access to
many of the older, privately owned lots of fine aged cognac. These
brandies are blended in small batches to create what has become
an unparalleled line of cognacs.
Nyak Very Special Cognac is comprised of
a blend of 6 to 8 year old cognacs, with a high proportion being
from the Grande Champagne region. By comparison, similarly priced
cognacs are made from a blend of 3 to 4 year old brandies. It has
a rich amber color, delicate vanilla and oak notes, and a light
floral bouquet. It compares in quality to many VSOP cognacs on the
market.
Appropriately named, Nyak Very Special Cognac
is a brandy that will simultaneously appeal to many different generations
and cultures and whose value is as exquisite as its taste.
