LEsprit®
de Courvoisier® Cognac
The distinguished House of Courvoisier began
making brandies in the mid-18th century and soon became the favorite
of Napoléon Bonaparte and his court. In 1869, Chateau Courvoisier
was honored as the Purveyor by Special Appointment to the
Court of Napoléon III. The brands ascendancy
into preeminence reached a pinnacle with the creation of LESPRIT
DE COURVOISIER COGNAC.
Made in the heart of Jarnac, France, LEsprit
de Courvoisier is arguably the finest, most exclusive brandy ever
created. It is handcrafted from the finest brandies distilled in
the premiere crus, or growing regions. The brandies are double-distilled
in small copper alembic stills and cellared in handmade Limousin
and Tronçais oak barrels.
LEsprit de Courvoisier is comprised
of brandies from the finest vintages in the past centuries, some
exceeding 200 years in age. The youngest constituent brandy is from
1930, while the oldest is from the vintage of 1802.
LEsprit is certainly the finest, most
complex brandy to grace a snifter. Hand packaged in a stunning Lalique
crystal decanter, the brandy has a wafting bouquet saturated with
fruity aromas. The full, satiny textured brandy glides over the
palate and slowly fades into a luxuriously flavorful finish. L’Esprit de Courvoisier is an extraordinary achievement, one worthy of a museum exhibition.
