Courvoisier®
Initiale
Extra® Cognac
Located in the heart of Jarnac, France, the
House of Courvoisier creates its cognacs from the finest brandies
distilled in the premiere crus, or growing regions. The brandies
are then cellared in handmade Limousin and Tronçais oak barrels.
Since aging is so crucial to achieving excellence, the experts at
Courvoisier hand select which trees are to be used for the casks,
seasoning the staves in the open air for 3 years before they are
assembled into finished barrels.
Few cognacs better illustrate the Chateaus
artistry and centuries old expertise than COURVOISIER
INITIALE EXTRA.
It is a blend of rare, exceptionally old cognacs from the Grande
Champagne and Borderies districts. The youngest brandy in the blend
is over 50 years old, with some that have been aged for over a century.
The Initiale Extra is an unqualified masterpiece.
The brandy has a voluminous bouquet redolent with the savory aromas
of vanilla, citrus, cocoa and cinnamon. The palate
is full of nuances and fills the mouth with the sumptuous
flavors of almonds, fruit and baking spices. The finish is
long, relaxed and exquisitely flavorful.
Whether in a snifter at a quiet moment or
in the middle of a
crowded dance floor, it is next to impossible to do anything
but thoroughly savor Courvoisier Initiale Extra.
