B
& B® Liqueur
B & B is about the most elegant liqueur
that has ever graced a glass. It is the combination of BENEDICTINE
D.O.M. LIQUEUR and noble aged cognac.
Thought to be the oldest surviving proprietary liqueur, Benedictine
originated in 1510 at the abbey in Fecamp, France. The legendary
elixir is made with 27 herbs, spices, plants, tea and fruit. Each
ingredient is distilled individually and matured in oak barrels
for 3 months before blending. The liqueur is made on a base of aged
cognac and rested in oak casks before being bottled at 80 proof.
B & B Liqueur was created in the 1930s.
The inspiration behind the liqueur came from a barman at the famous
21 Club in Manhattan who concocted a cocktail made with Benedictine
and brandy. Its soaring popularity prompted the distillery to devise
its own version, and to ensure its longevity, created the liqueur
on a base of old Fine Champagne cognac.
The liqueur is endowed with a flawlessly
textured body and a wafting bouquet of spicy, herbal aromas and
prominent notes of cognac. The palate is a sumptuous feast of zesty
and spicy flavors mellowed with the refined taste of brandy. The
lingering finish is sensational.
As great as B & B Liqueur is when served
neat, it is equally fabulous featured in a cocktail.
